MAM BY OLGA DE LA IGLESIA

Photographer and art director

The smoothness of paper and the strength of stainless steel come together in the shooting that the photographer, Olga de la Iglesia, has done for MAM's latest and most innovative MESH collection. The artist expresses her vision and what inspires her of MAM in MAM By a space designed for our favourite artists so they can visually represent what MAM means for them and so we can share this vision with all of you.

We are proud to collaborate with one of our favourite photographers Olga de la Iglesia in this exclusive editorial which launches the MESH straps in the world of MAM. For this collaboration Olga, who has worked with brands such as Vogue or Monocle, among others, and who seeks to blur the existing lines between the set and real life, has used natural materials to create shapes and styles with various types of paper with which she represents her personal and intimate vision of MAM and the "conscience and love for nature" that she shares with us.

"We are at a point where we cannot draw back from the amount of indestructible and harmful waste that we produce every day”

Olga tells us how she finds inspiration in colour and shapes as well as in the emotions that arise from them. For her "colours honour and belong to nature, we are nature, we belong to this beauty" It is this awareness and concern for the environment that has made Olga join our guest list.

Olga has represented this essence in the inspiration she finds in the tones and shapes that the Mediterranean holds. The photographer has worked with the stylist Stephania Yeppes and together they have created spectacular geometric shapes of paper that as emotions "sometimes prick, others catch you, and others are soft, warm and make you bloom" to represent their vision of MAM.

“MAM is not only a sustainable watch brand, it is also a brand that reflects the values of the brands of the future"

For the photographer, MAM is not only a sustainable watch brand for her it is also "a brand that reflects the values of the brands of the future". According to Olga, "we are at a point where we cannot draw back from the amount of indestructible and harmful waste that we produce every day. So we all have to unite to change to a new collective consciousness cycle." Like MAM, she advocates the use of natural, sustainable and recycled materials.

The artist sees time as "something invented by humans, but very necessary to avoid disorienting ourselves in the space and society in which we live". That is why she chose Plano 669 as one of her favourite watches from the MESH Collection.
